Generosity and being giving is a central theme throughout the Bible. In fact, the Bible talks more about giving than it does about Heaven and Hell? Why? Because God desires us to become like Him – and He is a giving and generous Father. Giving doesn’t come naturally though in a society where we are focused constantly on getting more and more all the time. But there are more benefits to being generous than just following God as our model.
